Success
Success by Lawson Bracey
Success, the decisive adjudicator for a life well lived.
Whether you see it measured as the A’s or F’s or your report card or the number in your bank account.
The gucci the prada the lamborghinis, it's all a hollow shell, it's a subliminal masquerade of what's worth it in life.
Those things that we define as success are all just distractions.
Distractions to bewilder your mind and emblazon the idea that what you desire is inconceivable.
Only when your mind is focussed may the impossible seem possible.
What is described as the impossible is what we should strive for, only then will you be truly successful.
Otherwise you will be trapped in an endless cycle, one in which the world has succumbed to greed.
Because, at the end of the day when you are rotting in your grave and you've earned all the money you can and bought everything you could dream of, the only thing you've really earned is a faded headstone.
On that day death would have liberated you from your ignorance.
A derelict but important realization.
Success, it is not what defines what you have accomplished, but rather it defines who you are as a person.
