Boundless

Boundless by Sabina Ramirez-Solis

maybe i wish i were the moon

it would give me

all the more reason

to bask in the sun’s light

i wish i were the moon

the days would be bright

and the nights even brighter

as i would bring my precious sun

to bed

a kiss to sleep

and a kiss to wake

i’d watch my sun

to pass the time

etching her face

into the craters

of my mind

i’d follow my sun

wherever she goes,

the light that could blind

i’d use as my tether,

a string of hope i’d tie

to my wrist
