you are the sun to my moon

the day to my night

without you, 

my light seems nothing special

as yours shines enough for us both.

and when yours flickered out in an instant

the darkness i brought with me 

outweighed any light i had left.

without you,

time blurs together 

and there is nothing to look forward to.

it is night constantly 

it’s been night for a year now

night has lost meaning, night is day.

the moonlight may glow more

from time 

to time 

but never as bright

as you

the sun.
