The Watchman (It’s absurd) by Lawson Bracey

The Watchman sits in a room with billions of clocks

High and mighty preying on the average life

We worship him, believe all his lies

It's absurd…

It's absurd how I believe that my clock has a limit

I see none, but he tells me so

The Watchman says it's my destiny, he says it is unchangeable

It’s absurd how he made us believe we cannot steer our own futures

He says our futures were set the day we were born

He says that he is in control, not us

The Watchman’s true name is “fate”

Fate sits high and mighty preying on the average life

It's absurd how I ever believed in fate
